Many Christians do not realize that several members of the 12 Apostles were actually brothers in blood.  Who were they?  This vlog will discuss them.  Based on the readings of Jonah 3: 1-10; 1 Corinthians 7: 29-31; & Mark 1: 14-20.

2nd Sunday In Ordinary Time

by Fr. MD   •   January 15, 2021

Being a follower of Jesus for anyone – 2,000 years ago or now, is not always easy.  Both St. Peter and Mother Teresa of Calcutta knew that very well.  Let’s watch the vlog to see how they were able to serve Jesus well in spite of their challenges.  Based on the readings of 1 Samuel 3: 3-19; 1 Corinthians 6: 13-20; & John 1: 35-42.

Baptism of the Lord

by Fr. MD   •   January 8, 2021

The main focus of Fr. MD’s homily today is humility.  Why?  Both St. John the Baptist and Jesus practiced humility.  In fact, saints became holy because they understood the importance of staying humble.  Based on the readings of Isaiah 55: 1-11; 1 John 5: 1-9; & Mark 1: 7-21.

Fr. MD won’t lie that he cheats.  This homily is based on Bishop Barron’s reflection on Epiphany last year.  It was so good that Fr. MD holds it until today.  Enjoy!  Based on the readings of Isaiah 60: 1-6; Ephesians 3: 2-6; & Matthew 2: 1-12.

Holy Family

by Fr. MD   •   December 24, 2020

Merry Christmas!  Today, the Church remembers and honors the Holy Family.  Fr. MD, in this vlog, shares his reflection on one sentence in the gospel: “The child grew in size and strength, filled with wisdom and the grace of God was upon him.”  In short, we need to be patient with God’s timing while at the same time, remain open to God’s graces.   Based on the readings of Genesis 15: 1-6; 21: 1-3; Hebrews 11: 8-19; & Luke 2: 22-40.
