The gospel today tells us that Jesus has used 5 loaves and 2 fishes to feed perhaps 10,000 people or more.  It is indeed one of Jesus’ greatest miracle.  However, for the homily today, Fr. MD chooses to focus on the 1st Reading.  Why?  It tells us that God wants very much to have a deep relationship with us.  Based on the readings of Isaiah 55: 1-3; Romans 8: 35-39; & Matthew 14: 13-21.
