26th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Fr. MD always appreciates the gospel reading for today.  Why?  This gospel teaches  us the importance of not putting off becoming serious about our relationship with God.  The scriptures invites us to repent now.  Now – not tomorrow, not next week or later.  Now!  Why is it important to do this now?  Let’s watch the vlog to find out. Based on the readings of Amos 6: 1-7; 1 Timothy 6: 11-16; & Luke 16: 19-31.

25th Sunday In Ordinary Time

In this gospel, Jesus  warns us not to have false gods such as money.  Some people might not have money as their false gods.  However, we all have our own bad habits and other sinful attachments that harm our relationship with God.  We need God to help us recognize these and have strength to “divorce” our attachments to our false gods and bad & sinful habits.  Based on the readings of Amos 8: 4-7; 1 Timothy 2: 1-8; & Luke 16: 1-13.

24th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Many people feel they are not worthy of God’s love because they are sinners or their sinful past.  Are they correct?  The answer is a big “NO!”   Why?  Because Jesus says so!  Based on the readings of Exodus 32: 7-14; 1 Timothy 1: 12-17; & Luke 15: 1-32.

Did Jesus have Brothers and Sisters?

23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time

In this vlog, Fr. MD focuses on how it is important it is for us to make the right choices. Choices that will affect our relationship with God now and for eternity.  It is important that we keep asking God to give us wisdom which in turn helps us make the right choices in our present lives.  God wants to help us because He loves us!  Based on the readings of Wisdom 9: 13-18; Philemon 9-17; & Luke 14: 25-33.
