In the first reading, Moses tells us to fear God.  What does fear mean?  It is another word for ‘love with awe’.  Likewise, Jesus in the gospel, invites us to love God and other people.  Because it can be difficult to love others, we always need help from the Holy Spirit to assist us.  Based on the readings of Deuteronomy 6: 2-6; Hebrews 7: 23-28; & Mark  12: 28-34.
