We, in many ways, are like Bartimaeus, the blind man discussed in the gospel today. Like him, we need Jesus to help us be able to see the many blessings around us. Many priests probably feel uncomfortable preaching today. Why? The gospel talks about divorce and priests are very aware that some people in the congregation are divorced!!
