The gospels talk about Jesus’ call for the apostles to rest in a deserted place.  Why did He tell them to do so?  All people need regular periods for relaxation and prayer.  Based on the readings of Jeremiah 23: 1-6; Ephesians 2: 13-18; & Mark 6: 30-34.
