1st Sunday of Advent

Today is the first Sunday of Advent and Fr. MD discusses the situation of Christians in the Middle East whose lives are at stake because of their faith.  We need to remember them in our prayers because they will meet Jesus Christ after their martyrdom.    Based on the readings of Jeremiah 33: 14-16; 1 Thessalonians 3: 12-4:2; Luke 21: 25-36.

Christ the King

In this vlog, Fr. MD discusses the motto “Long live Christ the King!” a phrase often said by Mexican people before they were martyred.  Today is the feast of Christ the King and may the Mexican martyrs inspire us to remain hopeful amidst the evil in our lives.  God bless.  Based on the readings of Daniel 7: 13-14; Revelation 1: 5-8; John 18: 33-37.

33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time

Jesus in the gospel tells people they will see His second coming.  Two thousand years have passed and those original listeners are all dead and they did not see anything like Jesus’ second coming as He promised.  What is going on?  Let’s watch the vlog.  Based on the readings of Daniel 12: 1-3; Hebrews 10: 11-18; Mark 13: 24-32.

32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time

Today, the 1st reading talks about how God makes sure that the widow’s flour and oil will not run out during the time of drought and starvation.  This kind of miracle is very rare.  However, God can perform different kinds of miracles through us.  This vlog will explain more.  Based on the readings of 1 Kings 17: 10-16; Hebrews 9: 24-28; Mark 12: 38-44.
