26th Sunday In Ordinary Time

In this vlog, Fr. MD discusses how the Church has both saints and sinners.  As sinners, we continue to struggle with negative attitudes toward people who are different from us.  May the readings inspire us to improve ourselves.  God bless.  Based on the readings of Numbers 11: 25-29; James 5: 1-6; Mark 9: 38-48.

25th Sunday In Ordinary Time

Today, Fr. MD focuses on only part of the gospel: the disciples did not understand what Jesus was saying and they were afraid to question him.  Likewise, often we do not understand about some parts of our faith.  What should we do?  Let’s watch the vlog to find out!   Based on the readings of Wisdom 2:12-20; James 3:16 – 4:3; Mark 9: 30-37.

24th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Today, Fr. MD brings up the age old question: “Why do people need to suffer especially when they are good Christians?”   What are the reasons?  There are no easy answers but we can learn a lesson from old trees as discussed in this vlog.  Based on the readings of Isaiah 50: 5-9; James 2: 14-18; Mark 8: 27-35.

23rd Sunday In Ordinary Time

The gospel today is one of Fr. MD’s favorite stories because it narrates the encounter between Jesus and a deaf person.  In his vlog he talks about Camp Mark Seven in Old Forge, New York.  Enjoy.  Based on the readings of Isaiah 35: 4-7; James 2: 1-5; Mark 7: 31-37.
