20th Sunday in Ordinary Time

The gospel narrates an encounter between a non-Jewish woman and Jesus.  It seems to Fr. MD that the woman’s challenge led Jesus to a profound insight about His ministry on earth.  May the gospel inspire us to step out of our comfort zone and appreciate the diversity of God’s people. Based on the readings of Isaiah 56: 1-7; Romans 11: 13-32; Matthew 15:21-28

19th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Part of the package for being a Christian is experiencing temptation.  One of the remedies to overcoming temptation is to follow the example of St. Peter as narrated in the gospel today.  God bless.  Based on the readings of 1 Kings 19: 9-13; Romans 9: 1-5; Matthew 14: 22-33.
